Tips On How To Save Your Design Files
PDF (Portable Document Format) is the most common and preferred file format for submitting digital documents. With the installation of a PDF print driver on your computer, virtually any program can generate a PDF file suitable for printing. Both commercial and free PDF print drivers are available online for download from different sources.
COREL DRAW:
Save your Corel file as an Adobe Illustrator EPS
Embed all Images
Convert all your text/copy to outline fonts
Export as Illustrator EPS

FREEHAND:
Embed all Images
Convert all your text/copy to paths
Save as Illustrator EPS or PDF

ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR:
Embed all Images
Convert all your text/copy to paths
Save as Illustrator EPS or "Press Quality" PDF |

ADOBE INDESIGN:
Convert all your text/copy to outline fonts
Export your InDesign file as "Press Quality" PDF's there is a preset in the export dialog for that.
Under the FILE Menu select EXPORT and the dialog below will appear.
Remember, if a document Bleeds off the edge of the paper, you must add a bleed to the exported PDF, 0.125" is sufficient.
NOTE: In the dialog below the preset changes to [Press Quality] (modified) with the addition of the bleeds.
QUARK Xpress:

Under the File menu, choose Print, select Adobe PDF writer.
Under Properties select Press Quality and Save your PDF.
If you do not have Acrobat, we accept raw QUARK files, but all graphics and fonts need to be included. All these items should be compressed together before sending the file.

PUBLISHER:
With the installation of a PDF print driver on your computer, You can print a Publisher file to PDF format.
Under the File menu, choose Print, select Adobe PDF writer.
Under Properties select Press Quality and Save your PDF.

MICROSOFT WORD:
Again, with the installation of a PDF print driver on your computer, You can print a Microsoft Word file to PDF format.
Under the File menu, choose Print, select Adobe PDF writer.
Under Properties select Press Quality and Save your PDF.
If you do not have Acrobat, we accept raw Microsoft Word files, but all graphics and fonts need to be included. All these items should be compressed together before sending the file.
